That 3 Day Weekend Vibe
What?!? It's Fourth of July already here in the US?
You're not expecting some long preamble this week, are you?
All you need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz and you'll be fine, right?
Or, wait, maybe that is me....
Either way, look at this week's intro like a Zoom meeting that unexpectedly ends early and I am the annoying meeting organizer that awkwardly chuckles and says "Guess I'll give you 5 minutes back in your day."
We all know when that happens at work what you really want to say in reply is "No, Mr/s Meeting Organizer. I'm TAKING BACK those 5 minutes from what should have been an email in the first place...."
But you can't say that here though, because this literally IS an email....can't win them all I guess....
Anyway.....enjoy the long weekend, Friends. Check out the links below and listen to the song in the Last Word. Take some time with family and maybe go to a BBQ or two. Go for a hike or to the beach (or hike to the beach). Take a nap. Eat some ice cream.
You deserve it. We'll catch up next week.
XOXO
Dave

LISTEN: Arcade Fire - Unconditional I (Lookout Kid) — www.youtube.com
A lifetime of skinned knees, and heartbreak comes so easy. But a life without pain would be boring.
Written by the lead singer for his 9 year old son as a roadmap to growing up, this latest single from Arcade Fire has been on repeat for me for the last few weeks (and it is filed in my "Damn I Wish I Wrote That" file).
Take a close listen if you can.
