Vacation, All I Ever Wanted......What's the view from your chair going to look like this coming week?As I posted on LinkedIn on Friday, >>here's mine<<Do you think I can sit there without checking email, taking a call or responding to Slack messages?I'm really going to try. Could you do it?It's been a grind for everyone the last year and half or so. Social distancing, working remotely, trying to keep ourselves and our family healthy, motivating our teams to keep moving and keep that growth engine going takes it toll mentally and physically.Friends, we all have to take time to recharge. Maybe find a change of scenery. Be present with ourselves and our surroundings. Are you doing it?Instead of another Zoom meeting, I can tell what is on my calendar for the upcoming week:- Enjoy time with my family- Listen to music and a podcast- Get a little exercise and swim- Catch rays- Read- Think. And maybe get a frozen custard or two. That's a pretty busy week without work if you ask me.Hope you too can find some time to get some balance before the end of the summer. You deserve it!In the meantime, enjoy the articles below and have a great weekend. And keep an eye out because coming soon to a hardware store near you: Christmas trees.XOXODave
