How is Your Next Chapter Going to Play Out?Friends, as many of you know, this past Friday was a holiday here in the US with it being a day where we honor our military veterans. If you read nothing else in this week's edition (even if you find the will power to skip the one about cider donuts), I ask you to skip down to the last article and learn more about the common misconceptions we have about veterans. It's not too long, and it is totally worth taking the time to get educated so that we can all be better at treating those that have served with the due respect they deserve. Also, as I usually do on the long weekends, I'm going to keep this intro brief this week. We've talked here in the past about how we are all storytellers in one way or another, writing our own histories every day. As a writer of your story, sometimes it makes sense to pause and reflect on what has been written, and how you want the story to continue in the next chapter. We can't control what this may be completely -- but we can certainly have an idea, vision or direction for how we would like the next chapter of our story to go.I found myself having this conversation with a number of people who happened to be at different stages of their own "story" over the past few weeks. Some mid chapter, some at a natural break point, others suffering from a bit of "writers block" ....At some point we all face the question:What's our next chapter going to be? How is it going to play out?Maybe you have been wondering about this yourself. If not, perhaps this is a good time for you stop and think about where your own story is going and how you want your next chapter to read.I'll leave it for you to ponder over the long weekend and will come back to it next week. Not surprisingly, I have do have some thoughts on this topic that might help some of you that get stuck...In the meantime, grab yourself a cider donut and check out the articles below before the holiday blitz starts!XOXODave
